Styles covered include jazz, ballet, and tap. Steps, technique, and choreography will be taught in a structured class with emphasis on character work and physicality.
Goals
Styles covered include jazz, ballet, and tap. Steps, technique, and choreography will be taught in a structured class with emphasis on character work and physicality.
Goals
- To introduce basic dance steps and techniques to beginning level adults.
- To improve musicality and character work through dance.
- To build confidence in movement.
By the end of the three weeks, even the most timid student who says “I can’t dance” should feel more at ease and confident. Preparing for the dance portion of an audition will be easier with a few of the basics under their belt.
Students will be familiar with basic terms universally used in dance and theatre. This will allow them to better communicate with directors and choreographers when working on projects, shows, or auditions.

Dancer, Actor, Teacher With over ten years of dance and theater experience, both on stage and behind the scenes. I like to collaborate with artists and my students to create an achievable end goal we are all proud of. I like to bring out and nurture the artistic and expressive side, especially of timid students, and make an enjoyable and comfortable environment. I enjoy backstage and tech work on shows as well. Design, organization, and preparation are just as important as the performers themselves. I’ve worked with all ages and levels, keeping organized and maintaining clear lines of communication and collaboration with my fellow artists, directors, and students. |
